I saw Dr Ian Michell today and all seems very positive. I have to see a dietitian, psychiatrist and respiratory specialist and have a range of tests, including blood tests, an ECG and chest xray. If required I may also need a sleep study but i don't think I will.
At this stage i may be sleeved by July or August, I would hope sooner but it is hard to get into all of these specialists in a timely manner. He said if I was too loose the average amount of weight I could expect perhaps a 60kg loose, taking me to about 85kgs hopefully. I would be happy with this!
Hi Mirawitch, I found your blog via The Blogging Library. I can't wait to follow along with your journey and wish you the best of luck :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best. I initially saw my surgeon back in November and a few days later, got a phone call stating I needed this and that done. I didn't even commit 100% to the surgery. I had a sleep study done in January, which came back negative. That's the only test I've had done, no bloods, nothing, which I think is a bit strange, but I assume they'll take bloods as they prep me for surgery.
